Elliot Wilson is to Hip-hop journalism to what Russel Simmons is to Hip-hop labels. For those that may not  know what I mean by this, just has to pick any issue of the Source magazine from the 90’s, XXL magazine, and recently Rapradar.com. His commitment to Hi-hop, legendary clashes, and critics are all part of Hip-hop lore. Far from being done “YN” has a new physical publication called “Respect”. For the 2nd anniversary issue he taps J. Cole for the cover. Which is pretty interesting, but I’ll reserve my thoughts for a later post. What I feel is great highlight of the magazine is it’s 2011 rap up section. Which goes through the most significant stories, and happenings in Hip-hop this year. Respect *Our Culture* should be on news stands now.
